Head of Country - UK
Edward has well over 10 years’ experience in the accounting industry. Having specialised in tax, he has worked for Grant Thornton in the UK and other high profile independents. He is one of a select few professionals to hold a Masters degree solely in Taxation and is a member of the Association of Taxation Technicians.
As well as founding Accounts Lab (now called Sleek), Edward has other business interests in retail and leisure providing him with a wealth of business experience . Edward has the unique ability to offer advice to startups and ambitious entrepreneurs from both a personal and professional angle.
Head of Accounts, UK & Chartered Accountant
Kirsty started her career in the tax department of a leading independent firm of accountants before transitioning to the accounts department and pursuing her professional qualifications.
Having risen through the ranks to manage a large portfolio of owner managed businesses, Kirsty advises on all aspects of corporate and personal tax as well as helping businesses navigate through their Companies House statutory obligations.
Kirsty is an ‘all rounder’ who is perfectly positioned to advise clients from beginning to end of the company life cycle.
Kirsty successfully qualified as a Chartered Accountant and Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales. She advises a wide range of clients, but has a particular specialism in advising the Retail, Creative/Digital and Health and Beauty industry.
Cloud Accountant
Joe is a recently ACA Part-Qualified accountant with over 7 years’ experience in the accounting industry.
After coming back from his travels around Australia, Joe is excited to reach his end goal of being a Chartered Accountant.
His main focus is preparation of year end accounts, personal tax and bookkeeping.
Joe also brings expert knowledge of cloud accounting solutions – in particular Xero.
Cloud Accountant
Bryony is a University of Kent graduate currently working towards her Level 3 AAT, with the goal of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Bryony has several years’ experience in advising self-employed individuals and directors on their responsibilities and really enjoys getting to know the clients.
As a fully certified Xero and Quickbooks advisor, Bryony and is always eager to assist clients with getting to grips with cloud-based software.
Accounts & Tax Assistant
Eleanor is a University of Birmingham graduate currently training to become a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor.
Having recently become part qualified, Eleanor is now undertaking her final exams as part of the ACA-CTA Joint programme.
Eleanor’s major responsibilities include Personal Tax & Self-Assessment, Bookkeeping, Payroll and Accounts Preparation.
As a fully certified Xero, Quickbooks and FreeAgent advisor, Eleanor has a keen interest in using the latest technology and software for cloud accounting to help boost clients growth.
Chartered Accountant and Tax Associate
Rosie studied Accountancy and Finance at Leeds Beckett University, graduating with a First-Class BA Honours in 2019. She is now a fully chartered accountant with 4 years' experience.
Rosie has specialised in the Seed Enterprise Investment Scheme (SEIS) & Enterprise Investment Scheme (EIS) and assists companies with any accounting and tax requirements involved in raising investment and ensuring all HMRC filings are completed once investors have came on board. She is also able to advise companies on how ongoing changes in legislation may affect their calculations and requirements when applying for Research & Development (R&D) schemes.
Rosie enjoys working with clients to help set up new software allowing accounting to be more simple, efficient and understandable for the client.
Fully certified in Xero and QuickBooks. Rosie is also extremely proficient in management reporting.
Cloud accountant
In addition to a BA (Honours) in Business Studies, Ben is a Level 3 AAT qualified accountant with over 2 years’ experience in the industry.
Ben is currently studying towards his Level 4 AAT before starting his ACA qualification, with the ultimate objective of becoming a Chartered Accountant.
Ben specialises in e-commerce accounting and can provide expert knowledge on integrating your accounting software with the likes of Shopify, Amazon, and WooCommerce.
Fully certified in Xero and QuickBooks, Ben has a keen interest in cloud based accounting. His main responsibilities include bookkeeping, payroll, accounts preparation and personal tax.
Tax Associate
Toby is a University of Newcastle graduate with a master's in Finance. Toby is working towards his ATT qualifications looking to be fully qualified by March 2024. Since university, Toby has taken an interest in innovative companies, working with them to help fund their R&D activities.
Specialising in R&D tax relief, he can provide expert knowledge on ensuring innovative businesses get access to government-backed incentives to help them fund their R&D activities.
Being part of a wider R&D community, Toby's up-to-date knowledge allows companies to keep up with any legislation changes, ensuring all R&D claims are robust and in line with HMRC legislation.
